This policy explains what information KnowTheAngels ("we", "us") collects when you visit knowtheangels.com, why we collect it and what choices you have. The site has no accounts, comments or newsletter, so most visitors share no personal details with us at all.
Information we collect
- Usage data: pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, browser and device type, and the page that referred you. Google Analytics collects this for us.
- Security and delivery data: Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site, processes your IP address and request details to block attacks and serve pages quickly.
- Emails you send: if you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever your message contains.
The calculators and quizzes run in your browser. The birth date, name or answers you enter are not sent to our server or stored by us; a tool may open the guide for your result, such as the page for angel number 7.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies to tell repeat visits apart and to measure how pages are used. When advertising is active, Google and its partners also use cookies, as described in the next section. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the guides and tools still work without them.
Advertising
KnowTheAngels may show ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on those visits.
You can turn off personalized advertising from Google in My Ad Center or Google Ads Settings, and opt out of personalized ads from other participating vendors at aboutads.info. How Google uses information from sites that use its services explains Google's side in detail.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, ads are shown only through a Google-certified consent message that asks for your choice before personalized advertising cookies are used.
How long we keep data
- Google Analytics keeps event data for the retention period set in our Analytics account, which Google limits to fourteen months at most; aggregated reports without personal identifiers may be kept longer.
- Emails stay in our mailbox for as long as we need them to answer and follow up. Ask us and we delete them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, data protection laws such as the GDPR and the UK GDPR give you the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its use. Email privacy@knowtheangels.com and we will answer within one month.
California residents have rights under the CCPA and CPRA. We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising cookies can count as "sharing" under California law; you can stop it by turning off personalized ads through the links above or by emailing privacy@knowtheangels.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share". We do not treat you differently for using these rights.
Children
KnowTheAngels is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent us personal information can email privacy@knowtheangels.com to have it deleted.
Third-party services
Google (Analytics and AdSense) and Cloudflare process data under their own privacy policies. Links to other websites lead to pages whose privacy practices we do not control.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Questions about the policy go to privacy@knowtheangels.com.
